I was lucky enough to read this book before it was released and it doesn't disappoint. Q&A with Courtney on Shadow Fire : What was the spark or initial idea that started your book? I was feeling bad about the life that Leif was living. Yes, I know he is fictitious, but since I had created him and the story of his life, I felt he deserved a better ending. Something more than sadness and self-destruction. So, I gave him one. What was your favorite part of writing this book? I liked writing the past sections. It was run to wind all the characters together and show how they morphed into the people they grew to be. I had no idea it would be so much fun.
