I was lucky enough to read this book before it was released and it doesn't disappoint. Q&A with Courtney on Shadow Fire : What was the spark or initial idea that started your book? I was feeling bad about the life that Leif was living. Yes, I know he is fictitious, but since I had created him and the story of his life, I felt he deserved a better ending. Something more than sadness and self-destruction. So, I gave him one. What was your favorite part of writing this book? I liked writing the past sections. It was run to wind all the characters together and show how they morphed into the people they grew to be. I had no idea it would be so much fun. You might notice the assortment of G and PG movies this week. Had a sick kiddo at home. Pretty funny. Love the fish out of water story. What's not to like about TLBT? They are just so cute. You have to a real hardnose not to cry during this movie. I always cry every single time. What's not to like about the Toy Story Saga. I just love Violet. What a great heroine. Has its funny moments. But yet another racing cartoon movie. A crush worthy cartoon character. Sigh. There's something inherently wrong when animators make crush worthy heroes. They are CARTOONS! One of the best monster movies ever. The chemistry between Kevin and Fred is priceless and hysterical. Love. Dialogue is the best. Benedict as Kahn is perfect. Depp's Sparrow is one of the best characters in cinema history It was okay. Got a little long with the close-ups on Redford Great Disney movie.

Bizarre is the best description I can come up with. It really is a Musical and Slasher movie. Dated with the female stuff. But still cute and good family entertainment. Though I admit to wondering about the happiness of the animals on the ship - they don't look to happy in several of the scenes.

As a kid I loved watching reruns of the original Dark Shadows TV series. Well, one day my brain was doing its usual wandering and I remembered a character on that show who was a phoenix. One of my favorite movies. Best action/adventure romance that I've ever seen. Plus, it's funny. I decided I had to go see it since I remember seeing the original movie in the theater. It was okay, lots of CGI action sequences, but the best part was Megan Fox and her character. Nothing like the girl taking out the big baddie at the end instead of the "heroes." Love that.
