As a kid I loved watching reruns of the original Dark Shadows TV series. Well, one day my brain was doing its usual wandering and I remembered a character on that show who was a phoenix. Every so many years she burned in a fire and was reborn. As soon as I remembered that episode, I knew I wanted to write about phoenixes. What was your favorite part of writing this book? It’s such a balance of fantasy and romance. Since I write both, it was the best of both worlds for me. I could combine my two favorite genres and tell a story that really appeals to two different audiences. What is your favorite line from your book?
