I believe that stories are out there, and that they actively seek the right person who will write them down, so they are just floating around until it clicks with a particular author--much like finding a love match. Please welcome Ruth Silver the author of Aberrant (Book 1 in the Abberant Series) to my blog. What was the spark or initial idea that started Aberrant ? I wanted to write a Dystopian novel. It’s not hard to imagine why, I love reading Dystopian YA fiction. The initial idea is from a series of factors and thoughts that I had – what our world would be like if everyone was given equal status. We know in our current society there are people that are homeless, without jobs or food. Some of these people have touched our lives; they are our friends and neighbors. It wasn’t such a far leap to create a Dystopian world that gives it’s people everything but there had to be a higher cost in doing that, making it a far cry from Utopian. What was your favorite part of writing Aberrant ? Being able to create a world and to research different topics and ideas.
