Unicorn Keep by Angelia Almos

Unicorn Keep is my new young adult fantasy about Jiline who switches places with her best friend, Madelen, to become a unicorn keeper. Coming out on April 30th.

“They didn’t ask for the best rider, but the purest souls.”

Madelen snorted. “You’re just as pure as I am. Whatever the heck that means.”

“Obviously not.”

 “You’d probably like it.”

“What?” Jiline released the hug and leaned against the wall.

“Being a keeper. Taking care of the...unicorns.”

    Unicorns?! She makes it sound like some forbidden knowledge in that last line. Good snippet! Definitely draws the reader in a bit more with that short exchange.

    I wonder what the requirements are to be a keeper of quadracorns?

      I believe many of the various deers and sheep fill the multi-horn animal need. It's the animals with a single horn which are special. ;-)

    A question that occurs to me. Is it the unicorns or the person in charge of the unicorns that do the selecting?

      The mages choose the candidates and the unicorns choose the actual keepers.

Books to Movies Giveaway Hop

One of my favorite subjects are books to movies. I LOVE watching adaptations and studying the skill of turning a book into a movie. Adaptations are getting a lot of attention now with the success of the Twilight and The Hunger Games series. I could go on and on about the skill it takes to adapt a movie from a book, but I won't bore you.
