Science Fiction Fantasy Saturday Snippet:
Bang! A door
closed in the house.
She spun, her
energy pistol secure in her hand. Felicity ejected the disc and passed it off
to her. She slid it into a hidden pocket in her shirt. If they got caught, she
had to protect the disc. Rutledge couldn’t find it on them or he wouldn’t

Uh, oh! Cornered (exciting!).
ReplyDeleteYeah, nothing like hearing someone coming when you don't have an exit. :-)
DeleteThat snippet reeked of tension!! Wow!! Good stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, TK.
DeleteAt least they don't have to worry about somebody sneaking up on them. I can feel the tension in this one!
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves to quote Oh Brother Where Art Thou when he comes across scenes like this ~ "Damn! We're in a tight spot!" It's appropriate and I love it! Can't wait to find out what happens next! Great building of tension here.
ReplyDeleteBeing trapped with no other way out is always the best way to build tension. Fun little snippet!
ReplyDeleteOh yikes! Hope they manage to escape!
ReplyDeleteWhelp... I guess you'll just have to kill someone. Smash the house up so no one thinks you were at the computer.
ReplyDeleteI knew it sounded too easy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving the positive comments everyone. :-)
ReplyDeleteHmm, they may have to fight their way out!
ReplyDeleteUh oh!
